This policy explains how Ramesh Sharma, operating professionally as RS. (“we”, “us”), handles personal information when you use rameshsharma.in (or any successor domain) and when you contact us about work.

Preference data: your light/dark theme choice may be stored in localStorage on your device so the site remembers your setting.

We do not run invasive cross-site advertising trackers on this portfolio by default. If you later add analytics (e.g. Plausible, Fathom, or Google Analytics), update this section and your cookie banner accordingly.

3. Why we use it (purposes)

To respond to enquiries and operate a professional relationship (contract steps, quotes, delivery).
To keep the site secure, debug issues, and understand aggregate technical performance.
To remember display preferences (theme) on your device.
To comply with law, tax, and accounting obligations where applicable.

Where the DPDP Act applies, we rely on consent for optional processing you clearly opt into, and on legitimate uses aligned with the Act for responding to requests you initiate, performing a contract, or complying with law. Essential cookies or storage needed to run the site (for example session security from your host) may be set without extra banners. Non-essential analytics or marketing cookies should only be used after appropriate notice and consent — currently we aim to avoid them on this property.

6. Sharing and processors

We use infrastructure providers (for example domain, DNS, hosting, email) who process data on our instructions. We do not sell personal data. If we use subprocessors outside India, we will rely on lawful transfer mechanisms and update this policy.

Enquiry emails and project correspondence are kept for as long as needed to fulfil the conversation or contract and for reasonable legal / tax record-keeping (often several years for invoices). You may ask us to delete non-essential copies where the law allows.

This site is aimed at adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to a small studio (secure transport where HTTPS is enabled by hosting, access limits, careful handling of credentials). No online system is perfectly secure.

We may update this policy. The date below will change. Material changes may be highlighted on the site or by email where appropriate.
